The Ejada Program is a joint initiative between Save the Children and Ameerah Al-Taweel Foundation  “Global”, launched to improve the quality of education in Jordan. The program focuses on two core outcomes:


  • Enhancing teacher professional wellbeing
  • Improving teaching practices that address students’ social and emotional needs.


By transforming school environments and empowering educators, the program aims to build a brighter future for children across the country.


Building a Strong Foundation

Ejada leverages evidence-based learning and implementation approaches in partnership with the MIT research lab. The program offers a suite of sustainable teacher professional development (TPD) courses, emphasizing innovation, creativity, and wellbeing.

A key strategy of Ejada is its integration into national education systems through government collaboration. The accreditation and endorsement by Jordan’s Ministry of Education (MoE) ensures long-term sustainability and scalability across all public schools.

2023 Highlights


TPD Content Development:
  • Developed 10 tailored TPD courses targeting senior educators.
  • Designed to strengthen innovation and support wellbeing across school clusters.


Implementation & Reach:
  • 3,370 MoE teachers and 178 MoE supervisors trained.
  • 84,250 students directly benefited from enhanced classroom experiences.


Institutional Integration:
  • MoE accredited 170 training hours, incorporating them into its ranking system.
  • 17 dedicated MoE staff assigned to ensure program sustainability.
  • MoE e-learning platform activated, expanding reach to underserved communities.


Research Collaboration:
  • A Randomized Control Trial conducted in collaboration with MIT to assess impact.
  • Findings expected in 2024 will inform national education strategies and future interventions.

2024 Achievements


  • The Ejada Program successfully completed its implementation phase.
  • 1,726 additional teachers participated in the program.
  • Expanded to 206 schools across Jordan.
  • 43,000+ students directly benefited in 2024 alone.
  • More than 280,000 individuals—including students, educators, and caregivers—benefited indirectly.
  • The training curriculum is officially accredited by the Ministry of Education, solidifying its place in the national professional development framework.


By empowering teachers and enriching student experiences, the Ejada Program stands as a model of sustainable, evidence-driven educational reform. Through strong partnerships, government alignment, and technological innovation, it has created lasting change in Jordan’s education landscape—ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
